Here's a great video from this years Rebellion Festival in 3 parts, many thanks Marcus !!

MARK ASTRONAUT. "Restricted Hours", Live @ Club85 + "The Otters," Tracks.

What a nice surprise, I have just been sent these tracks by Joe Davin who plays along side Mark in 'The Astronauts' and 'The Otters'. Restricted Hours are Mark sparsely accompanied by long time collaborators Alan Cowley and Bob Green. This great recording sneaks up on you with beautifully threaded collection of cosmic folk ragas, haunting guitar drones and first class songs, that include reworked versions from the Restricted Hours split 7", and a few Astronauts classics. Beguiling tracks for those moments when there's nothing left to do but lie back and let the worlds worries pass over you. And then you have two tracks from 'The Otters' again brilliant stuff and on the track 'Heresy' it features Chris from 'RDF'. Here are two links for more info on the band plus tracks, click on the brilliant 'My Little Bubble' and ' Urban Aspirines'. A massive thanks again to Joe for these. As always enjoy!!

Up and coming gig date. The Astronauts,

Sunday 7th August-  Rebellion Festival  w/ Here & Now, The Damned, Jello Biafra, Citizen Fish...

Friday 18th November - Weird Tales 2011  w/ The Mob, Zounds, Rubella Ballet, Hamsters & Andy T.

MARK ASTRONAUT. Live The Saracen's Head, Doncaster 12.5.88

First thing is there anybody out there, I have only one comment and one follower,
(Thanx  NPW), any advise, help on how to get more traffic ??

The Astronauts were always playing locally  but never really got the credit they  deserved, they are brilliant musically and  lyrically. I was fortunate to see them quite a  few times, the first time being in Welwyn
 Garden City on The Campus.
I think it was a peace festival but again my  memory ain't what it used to be, I  do remember seeing them, any help?
This is an acoustic set, audience recording,  Mark Wilkins did in 1988 and covers tracks
 from all the  early Lp's.
I have  also put on a couple of extra tracks I  found.
If you like what you hear get the Lp's,  there's a link on their name which should  help and also give you the history of the band !
Just found loads of goodies from them on KYPP site.
