CRISIS. Live, Guildford Student Union, 1978 + Demo.

I knew I had a tape of Crisis stuff, took me bloody ages to find ! It's an audience recording from 1978 and some demo goodies on the end, I don't have any more info on it I'm affraid, except what a great band they were! ' No Town Hall ' was one of the first punk singles I owned , given to me by me sis. I must say thx to them because the lyrics to 'Holocaust' helped me in one of my history exams! All their records were crackers and can be found on net, I gotta just say how many great blogs and sites I keep finding when looking for band info or photos, so nice to see it all still being appreciated, the music that is! Just read that Crisis released a cd of their last gig from 1980, hmm must find a copy. Have fun !!

  2. Coucou, here I am

    Just to tell you about a little story ...
    In 1980 or 81 I bought in London the L.P : Hyms of Faith ( I have still it now ).

    I go by train In Italy and a policeman in the train, saw it and borrowed me a lot about it because of the song : Red Brigades .
    It was the wrong time in Italy to go with this LP
    :)

    I love the song " Frustration " it's amazing

    have a nice night and see you soon
    :)

  4. Nice one, ivomit4U, haven't seen any other unofficial Crisis out there, and they're one of my favourites! For the demos, though, having checked, I do have some info for you. The six "demo" tracks seem to be taken from the 1997 double release We Are All Jews and Germans (1997); compare the times:

    2-1 to 2-3: First ever studio demos - Recorded 1977;
    2-4 and 2-5: Alternate versions - Recorded 1978;
    2-6 to 2-12: Recorded live at The Bunker Club, Bergen, Norway, Sept.1979.
    2-1. Militant (2:15)
    2-2. Kill Kill Kill (3:28)
    2-3. PC 1984 (1:20)
    2-4. UK 78 (2:39)
    2-5. Red Brigades (4:12)
    2-6. On TV (2:49) - on your version, much distorted, but within one second, the same length ...

    However, the Guildford has never seen the light of day before (since I've been looking, at least, so ta muchly, and keep up the good work! Cheers, Dave Sez.

    PS: If you were to cast your peepers this way ...
