Charged G.B.H - live 100 club, London 24.11.81

I remember the buzz about this band, ep coming out on Clay Records, same as Discharge, they must be good !! So Leather, Bristles, Studs & Acne came out and it didn't disappoint, very powerful but not what I first expected, especially with that cover, but you got your politics and fun all in one. I think the first gig was with Erazerhead and Discharge in Letchworth or was it at Bowes in Stevenage ???
This is another of the classic Chaos Tape releases, audience recording, the sound goes a bit quieter half way in but it's a cracker of a set.
Also I have added a little extra gadget to the posts so you can a wee listen to it before you download,  many a time I have downloaded stuff to find out its a shite recording, helps save time, hope you like it and enjoy!!

THE EVENS - Live Ahimsa House, West End, Brisbane 25.2.07

As I've OD'd myself on Crass songs recently I have also been listening to 'The Evens' quite a bit for some mellow time, so I thought I'd share this one for anybody who hasn't come across them. The Evens are Ian Mackaye, (Fugazi), on baritone guitar and partner Amy Farina on drums. They have released two lps, the self titled The Evens in 2005 and then Get Even in 2006, both are well worth a purchase. This is an excellent audience recording with a very tired Ian, have a listen them buy the lp's.

STEVE IGNORANT - Live The Liquid Room, Edinburgh. 2.10.10

Here's another from Steve Ignorant, again shared by 'Pil Head'.
Now when I first started down loading live stuff from the net I used to get really pissed off with all the tracks being split up but I noticed everyone was doing it so thought it was the norm. I do understand why it's done but still get annoyed with it but I seem to have rolled over and gone with the flow !!
So then I start receiving recordings that don't have the breaks and wonder what most folk prefer ?
So my question is what is best, for me it would take a lot less time just converting without the breaks but does this cause a hassle for folk, not being too computer literate I'm not sure, please tell me your thoughts ??
This is an ex recording and sounds a great gig although there a couple of songs missing from the night, but it's got no breaks (great!!) if you don't like it this way I will re- post with gaps!

STEVE IGNORANT - Live, Shepherds Bush Empire, London 24.11.07

Yet another kind share from Pil Head and still a couple more to come ! When I first heard about this show in 2007 my head went into a bit of a mess, I couldn't believe it was happening, 'Steve Ignorant' performing without the other members of Crass whats going on! Then I read this interview and then the review of the gig and I thought hmm ok and didn't give it much more thought, I defiantly wouldn't be going so that was that, until I received these and then finding peoples views on the net about it all !
Now I know he's touring again at the mo and I know he's had the blessing from all of Crass and it's gonna be the very last time he performs these songs and everything seems nice, but then I read about the London gig coming up, and Andy T only getting £75 quid for supporting and that ain't right !
At the end of the day you can make your own mind up, is it right or wrong? Crass made such an impact with their songs, so if you forget everything else and enjoy these recordings for the music, Steve sounds great, the band sound brilliant and I defy any Crass fan not to sing along to these, so enjoy !!!

THEE MILKSHAKES - Live The Claredon, London, 10.12.83

Bit a change, found this at the bottom of the box, me brother was heavily into the Psychobilly scene and was always going into London to see bands, as you can imagine our house was a nightmare at times with the sounds that would come blaring out of the walls, we must of been the neighbours from hell !! Alot of the bands really grew on me, I always loved the sound of the double bass and I suppose being a 60's baby that type of music was always played by my parents be it The Beatles or Bill Hayley etc. I would go along to see a few of the bands as a couple of me mates turned their spikes into high quiffs un all, the ones I really enjoyed were Thee Milkshakes and The Sting Rays, I was going to post a Stingrays gig which was brilliant but I found they've released it, took me bloody ages to convert !! Instead here's The Milkshakes, an audience recording which changes a little in quality on the tape turn but still great I hope you enjoy it as much as me. They have released loads of goodies so if you want more try here, I have also put a classic piece of The Tube history on Garage Bands which is well worth a re visit, have fun and enjoy !!
