The first time I heard Tools You Can Trust was on their first Peel session in 1983 and the song that blew me away was Working and Shopping, so different from owt else that was around then. There's not much on the web about them but I've found a bit just click on the name to see what they released. I will upload the peel sessions as I know I have 2 & 3somewhere, if anyone has 1 please pass it on as it has me fav track on it. Until then here's a later release that combines the first 3 singles hope you like it as much as I do, ps funny to see the Cresents again !!?

I know this doesn't or at least Honey Bane doesn't need any intro, but yet another classic I had to put on cos I'd forgotten how great it was and the previous Violence Grows!
Don't worry I will re-start doing more of me old live / demo tapes soon, got admit I was taken a back with the whole M/U thing last week and am wondering who's next, but until then enjoy.
This is fuckin' brilliant yet another that flashes me back so so much, I remember never getting bored of this LP and also all me mates loved it, twas always put on after gigs, back at the house, in chill out time !! you could guarantee someone would end up tapping a beer bottle with a drum stick while swaying round the room, I'd get lost in the cover on occasions as well !!! It always reminds me of one of the houses in Hulme that would have dub blasting out of it 24/7, good times so really enjoy ! More to come !

It's funny how you remember the first time you hear great songs and how that sticks with you, so here's another one of me all time fav's by the Swell Maps, I have a couple of LPS which I might post as well ? I didn't get into them until about 1980 and it was thanks to a pal back then HAG from the band Social Disease (Bristol) who put a couple of these tracks on the end of a demo he sent me -- cheers.
There's loads to read on the internet about them so I won't bore anyone, just play loud and enjoy !!!

BIG MAZ IN THE COUNTRY
... THEN POLAND
Right here the situation I've been going through some of me old vinyl and playing some belters so I have now decided to bore you all with my trip down memory lane as well and hopefully push some of you to listen to more by these bands.
I remember when I first heard my sis play this Scars 7", loved it and to listen to it again today was just as good as then, brought back heaps of great times, so enjoy.
Well at long last I've managed to get a post together and bloody hell it took me ages, I'd forgotten how to work all this! This post is mainly because I got The Masonics, ' In Your Night Of Dreams And Other Foreboding Pleasures ' back in September and it hasn't been of the player since, I love this band and this Garage Punk sound, I must give out two massive thanks to the sites that keep introducing me into new and old goodies like this. Firstly the saved Garage Punk 66 and also GaragePunk Hideout where you'll find heaps of interesting stuff and a great variety from this to punk, check them out and support them. Back to the mighty Masonics there's a link to the record label so buy the LP and here's a wee bit on them, there are a few tracks I wasn't sure of the titles ?? so if see the mistake please contact me --- hope you like it.
Lazy but he's some bits taken from the press release.
Something of a garage - rock'n'roll super group The Masonics are a winning combination - featuring musicians who have done their time in such brilliant groups as Thee Milkshakes, Pop Rivets, Wildebeests, Kaisers, Headcoats, del Monas and more. Not bad seeing as there's only three of 'em, Mickey Hampshire, Bruce Brand and John Gibbs.
Master of the Medway beat made famous and very talented Mr Billy Childish, Bruce played alongside childish in the Pop Rivets back in the late 1970's and he and Mickey were both in Thee Milkshakes. Anyone who has had a passing interest in garage and beat music from the last 25 years will have come across the names of the bands in which the three members of the devilishly stylish Masonics have spent time. Combining their previous bands sixties beat, US garage and instrumental styling with punk rock attitude, this is a band that pays attention to detail with a talent for songwriting coming to the fore. Singer/guitarist Mickey Hampshire posses a merciless instinct for touching simple, timeless, rock 'n' roll melodies and lyrics. The band perform with verve and precision, on record and on stage, always giving their followers their money's worth. Bruce Brand pounds the traps like it could save your life, John Gibb twangs the strings with a gut instinct, taking you into a groove with grit and gumption.
Eight albums down the line The Masonics remain more hard hitting and vital than any group of teenage hopefuls on the scene.
This live recording is from the launch party of the above mentioned LP.
